Es ist mir eine große Ehre, diese Position zu übernehmen und gemeinsam mit euch die Ziele unseres Vereins weiter voranzutreiben.

Als Aktivist und Regenbogenvater setzte ich mich täglich mit viel Freude und Leidenschaft dafür ein, dass queere Personen die gleichen Menschenrechte und den gleichen Schutz genießen wie alle anderen. Ich bin froh und dankbar, dass mich hierbei sehr viele Personen und Organisationen unterstützen.

Um den Zusammenhalt in unserer Stadt zu stärken, habe ich den Begegnungs- & Kulturort „Simons Glück“ im Jahr 2024 eröffnet.

Als „Drehorgel-Simon“ begleite ich viele Aktionen – denn Musik verbindet!

Seit über 30 Jahren bin ich im sozialen Bereich tätig.

Meinen Ausgleich finde ich u.a. durch Unternehmungen mit meiner Familie.

Ich bin im August 2024 eher zufällig auf den Queeren Stammtisch aufmerksam geworden und ich kam dann Anfang 2025, als die Vereinsgründung konkret wurde, gerne der Bitte nach, mich für den zweiten Vorsitz zur Verfügung zu stellen.
Als Stellvertreterin bin ich immer überall da zu finden, wo man mich gerade braucht. Ganz besonders liegt mir hier der queere Jugendtreff yoU25* am Herzen, den ich seit der Neuauflage im Sommer 2025 mit betreue.

Ruhe in mir selbst finde ich v.a. bei ausgedehnten Wanderungen durch das Ahrtal, generell meinen diversen sportlichen Aktivitäten sowie im Kino oder auf einem Konzert.

Zusammen mit meinem Mann und einer Handvoll Mitstreiter:innen haben wir 2020 den Queeren Stammtisch gegründet, aus dem inzwischen ein Verein erwachsen ist und der für immer mehr Menschen eine wichtige Anlaufstelle geworden ist.
 
Ich möchte mich für ein lebenswertes Euskirchen einsetzen. Einer Stadt in der sich alle Menschen, unabhängig von ihrer sexuellen Orientierung oder geschlechtlichen Zuordnung angenommen und sicher fühlen.
 
Hierzu begrüße ich nicht nur die stetig wachsende Anzahl von queeren Menschen, die mit uns gemeinsam für ein besseres Miteinander streiten, sondern alle Menschen, die verstanden haben, dass der Einsatz für Queere Rechte immer auch der Einsatz für die universellen Menschenrechte darstellt. „Miteinander, füreinander, für Alle“.

Mitte 2024 kam ich durch einen Bekannten zum Queeren Stammtisch in Euskirchen. Die herzliche Aufnahme und der offene und menschliche Umgang in der Gruppe hat mir sehr gefallen.

Ich habe an vielen Angeboten und Veranstaltungen teilgenommen und es war mir immer wichtig, die Ziele des Vereins und Aktionen gegen Menschenfeindlichkeit wie Rassismus, Sexismus oder Queer Feindlichkeit aktiv zu unterstützen.

Seit 1997 lebe ich offen schwul, habe 3 Töchter und 3 Enkelkinder.
Ich gehe gerne wandern, beschäftige mich mit handwerklichen Tätigkeiten im Haus. Kreative Tätigkeiten wie zum Beispiel Nähen, Basteln und Dekorieren gehören auch zum Zeitvertreib.

Vorstandsbeisitzender Planung und Organisation

Ich bin unglaublich dankbar und stolz, als Vorstandsbeisitzender gewählt worden zu sein. Das ist für mich nicht nur eine Aufgabe, sondern eine echte Herzensangelegenheit.

Dass ich überhaupt zur Community gefunden habe, war ein wunderbarer Zufall: Beim CSD 2025 sprach mich ein Freund an, den ich über drei Jahrzehnte nicht gesehen hatte. Ein spontanes „Willst du mitlaufen?“ hat mein Leben verändert. Seitdem bin ich mit voller Energie dabei – beim Stammtisch, bei Aktionen, als ehrenamtliche Person zur Öffnung des Vereinsheims, bei allem, was unsere Community stärkt.

Im Vorstand möchte ich mich dafür einsetzen, dass queeres Leben in Euskirchen sichtbar bleibt, wächst und geschützt wird. Gemeinsam können wir viel bewegen.

Nach vielen Jahren in der ehrenamtlichen Hilfe für trans* Menschen, kam ich 2023 das erste Mal zum Stammtisch und merkte das sich auch im Kreis Euskirchen etwas bewegt.
Für mich war es ein Anliegen, meine berufliche Erfahrung als Mediengestalterin hier einzubringen.
Nachdem ich anfing die Werbung und Außenwirkung des Queeren Stammtisch in Euskirchen zu etablieren, engagierte ich mich auch zunehmende bei den vielseitigen anderen Aktionen und Infoständen.
Als aktiver Mensch und begeisterte Radfahrerin plane ich auch sportlichen Freizeitaktivitäten im Verein.

Im Frühjahr 2025 übernahm ich bei der Vereinsgründung einen Beisitz mit dem Schwerpunkt auf Medien, Presse und Administration

Ich habe meinen besten Freund und Herzensmenschen ‚Tom‘ bereits seit 2022 auf verschiedene Aktionen der queeren Community in Euskirchen begleitet. Er war Mitbegründer des queeren Stammtisches und seine Passion war die Gründung eines queeren Vereins, der sichtbar ist, nicht wegschaut, sich einsetzt für Vielfalt und Demokratie und Euskirchen damit zu einem bunteren und herzlicheren Ort macht.

Im Herbst 2024 musste sein Leben leider enden.

In der queeren Community standen wir uns in dieser schweren Zeit zur Seite und ich durfte selber erfahren, wie herzlich und leidenschaftlich diese wunderbaren Menschen für sich und andere einstehen.

Seit diesem Moment kämpfe ich für Toms‘ Visionen und bin überglücklich, Teil der Gründung des queeren Vereins gewesen zu sein.
